Facing the death penalty for a capital murder he did not commit and facing insurmountable odds, Keith Jackson fought his case.  After a two-month trial, with his lawyers, Carlos Garcia and Greg Zaney beside him, Keith finally heard the two most beautiful words in the criminal justice system, "Not  Guilty".  Keith's faith in God carried all of us through those times.   Keith Jackson was one of the greatest gifts God put in my life.  RIP my friend.

F.M. never thought he would find himself accused of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a crime he knew he did not commit.  After a week and a day of a trial, the jury rewarded his faith in the system and acquitted him of all charges.  This case illustrated the dangers of  faulty memory, source confusion, and police tunnel vision.

Falsely accused by troubled teenager trying to divert attention from her own brush with the law, A.M. did not stand much of a chance, facing  a Continuous Sex Abuse charge that carries a minimum of 25 years without parole in the penitentiary.  A.M. stood firm, refused to accept any plea bargains in spite of  the risks and trusted me to defend him.  After a two-week trial, the jury hung up, 7-5 for acquittal.  A week later the district attorney dismissed all charges after A.M. refused to plead to a misdemeanor back-time offer.  After twenty-months in jail, A.M. walked out of the Travis County jail a free man.
